  • 4 weeks, Tuesday 6 - 8:30 pm EST
  • May 13, 20, 27 & June 3
  • Online via Zoom

  • 2.5 hours with a 10 minute break

This course provides an introduction to collage tools, adhesives, techniques, and exercises. We will encourage collage as a daily practice through in-class prompts, optional homework/reading, and a supportive environment.

We will learn through exploration and demonstration of tools, papers, and adhesives. There will be live demonstrations, discussions, and visual slides. Each week will include check-in, lesson and demonstration, question and discussion, an optional prompt, a break, and group online studio work time. There will also be time to share our artwork and reflect on your work during class. Visual slides and recordings will be provided.

Laura will share ideas and structures on creating a consistent art practice, how to weave an art practice into the busyness of everyday life, making art in small or large spaces, and how to find communities to support your artistic growth.

This workshop is for someone who:

  • Is looking to create an accessible, consistent art practice.

  • Wants to learn more about collage as a beginner or an intermediate paper artist.

  • Thrives in a small class setting.

  • Loves to share inspiration and curiosity around collage art.

  • Desires to foster their own creativity and exploration.
